寧靜的心跡(69) 勇於接受逆境的考驗


無論是工作上的挫折、人際關係的糾紛,還是身體健康上的困難,逆境總是會不期而至。我們可以沮喪、抱怨或者放棄,但更重要的是,能夠以堅強的意志和積極的心態,去接受逆境的考驗。

我們可以想像,如果一棵樹被移入室內,即使受到很好的照顧,也可能變得衰弱,很容易枯萎。雖然它沒有被烈日和暴風雨所損壞,但也會逐漸失去生命力。之所以如此,是因為對樹來說,烈日和暴風雨是考驗而不是傷害,而經得起這些考驗,它才能長得粗壯。

烈日看似會把這棵樹曬乾,其實帶動它的根往地下吸收養份,讓葉子繁茂蒼綠。暴風雨看似會把它連根拔起,但卻能讓它的根紮得更深和更穩固。在大自然的懷抱中,這棵樹最有活力。逆境就是大自然對生命的考驗,只有通過考驗的生命才能留下。

同樣地,如果我們心理上離不開父母,沒有真正在社會上獨立奮鬥,或者沒有經歷過挫折和失敗,那麼意識就難以成熟。我們將缺乏保護生命的能力,甚至被淘汰。也許我們暫時受到父母的庇護而生活無憂,但也會缺乏解決問題和克服困難的經驗。一旦環境發生變化或社會動盪,我們就要面對很大的危險。而且,不努力的生活,也會讓我們缺乏滿足感和喜悅。

我們也看過溫室裡的花朵。無論它們開得多麼鮮豔,都無法給人一種生機勃勃的感覺。因此,我們要活得安穩和有力量,就要有面對艱難險阻的勇氣。智慧和勇氣兩者相輔相成,而勇敢地邁出第一步,接受逆境的考驗,我們的智慧就會成長。例如在感情關係中受到挫折,如果能勇敢地把挫折看成是大自然對自己的考驗,那麼我們就更容易恢復過來,並從中學到更多的知識和道理。當遇到同樣情況時,我們就能更從容地應對。

培養接受逆境考驗的勇氣,並不意味著主動去冒險,一切必須以生命安全為第一位。我們可以從思維訓練開始,透過解決複雜模糊的問題,培養敏捷性和耐心。然後積極面對生活或工作中的困難和挑戰,快速地提高我們的意識和生存能力,並提升勇氣。我們也可以主動走出舒適區,在生活或工作上做出改變,例如嘗試一些更健康的飲食方法,或者開發一些新業務,甚至發明和創新。

人的一生順境和逆境交替出現。當逆境來臨,智慧就是我們渡過難關的唯一保證。因此,在順境中我們需要做好面對逆境的準備,而面對逆境,我們需要保持耐心,不輕易放棄。這是我們接受逆境考驗的第一步,也是智慧成長的關鍵。而自我鼓勵,相信自己的能力,則是我們應有的積極態度。另一方面,我們需要找到有效的支持,擺脫孤獨的狀態,從別人的經驗或建議中獲得幫助。

勇於接受逆境的考驗,我們可以更加認識自己。逆境考驗我們是否懂得學習和反思、是否懂得吸取經驗和教訓,重點是考驗我們的智慧。現代社會生存靠的是智慧,而不是勇氣。培養勇氣目的是減少恐懼,讓我們對新事物更加開放,在不斷的嘗試中認識自己並增長智慧。有了智慧作基礎,我們的勇氣就會成為保護生命的力量。

逆境有時是我們無法逃避的情況。及早裝備自己,培養接受逆境考驗的意識,並與其他人建立良好的互助關係,我們可以把逆境轉變為成長的空間。這樣,我們不僅能安然地度過逆境,還能在下一個順境中快速地發展。

Courage to accept the test of adversity


No matter setbacks at work, interpersonal conflicts, or physical health difficulties, adversity always strikes unexpectedly. We can be frustrated, complain or give up, but more importantly, we can confront the test of adversity with a firm will and a positive attitude.

We can imagine that if a tree is moved indoors, even if it is well cared for, it may become weak and easily wither. Although it is not damaged by the scorching sun and storms, it will gradually lose its vitality. The reason is that for a tree, the scorching sun and storms are tests rather than injuries, and only by withstanding these tests can it grow strong.

The scorching sun seems to dry this tree out, but actually drives its roots to absorb nutrients underground, making the leaves to grow lush and green. The storms may seem to uproot it, but they enable its roots to anchor deeper and stronger. In the embrace of nature, this tree is most vibrant. Adversity is nature's test for life, and only those life can endure the test can stay.

Similarly, if we are psychologically inseparable from our parents, have not truly struggled independently in society, or have not experienced setbacks and failures, then it will be difficult for our consciousness to mature. We will lack the ability to protect life and may even be eliminated. Maybe we are temporarily protected by our parents and live a worry-free life, but we also lack the experience to solve problems and overcome difficulties. Once the environment changes or social unrest occurs, we will face great dangers. Moreover, living without effort will also leave us lacking satisfaction and joy.

We have also seen flowers in the greenhouse. No matter how brightly they bloom, cannot give people a feeling of vitality. Hence, if we want to live stably and with strength, we must have the courage to face hardships and obstacles. Wisdom and courage complement each other, and by taking the first step bravely, and accepting the test of adversity, our wisdom will grow. For example, if we are frustrated in a relationship, if we can bravely regard the setback as a test of nature, then we will be able to recover more easily and learn more knowledge and principles from it. And when we encounter the same situation, we can deal with it more calmly.

Cultivating the courage to accept tests by adversity, does not mean to take risks actively, but putting life safety first. We can start with thinking training and cultivate agility and patience by solving complex and ambiguous problems. Then actively face the difficulties and challenges in life or work, quickly improve our awareness and survival ability, and enhance our courage. We can also take the initiative to step out of our comfort zone and make changes in our lives or work, such as trying some healthier eating methods, or developing some new businesses, or even inventing and innovating.

Good times and adversity appear alternately in a person's life. When adversity strikes, wisdom is the only guarantee we can get through it. Therefore, we need to be prepared to face adversity in good times, and in the face of adversity we need to remain patient and not give up easily. This is the first step to accept the test and also the key to growth of wisdom. Self-encouragement and belief in our own abilities are the positive attitudes we should have. On the other hand, we need to find effective support, get out of loneliness, and get help from other people's experiences or advice.

By having the courage to accept the test of adversity, we can know ourselves better. Adversity will test whether we know how to learn and reflect, whether we know how to absorb experiences and lessons, the main point is that it tests our wisdom. In modern society, survival depends on wisdom, not courage. The purpose of cultivating courage is to reduce fear, make us more open to new things, understand ourselves and grow in wisdom through continuous attempts. With wisdom as the foundation, our courage will become the power to protect life.

Adversity is sometimes a situation we cannot escape. By equipping ourselves early, cultivating the awareness to accept the test of adversity, and establishing good mutual-help relationships with others, we can turn adversity into space for growth. In this way, we can not only survive adversity safely, but also develop quickly in the next good times.
