寧靜的心跡(98) 為生命而舞動


我們尋求的平靜,不是坐著不動,也不是心如止水。我們可能坐著看書,表面很平靜,但內心依然洶湧澎湃,這不是平靜。真正的平靜,是一種深度的投入和全神貫注的狀態。

把生命的能量,集中於創造有益於生命本身的新事物,而沒有虛耗在無用的動盪中,這就是平靜。因此,在面對情緒問題的時候,我們可以有兩種相反的取向:製造動盪或進入平靜。

當內心煩躁不安時,我們可以找各種瑣事去製造忙碌,例如吸煙、做一些不太用腦的家務等,以舒緩自己的情緒。但這種製造動盪的做法,阻礙了生命力的充份發揮,容易引起抑鬱。

如果我們把那股難以平伏的能量,用在一件需要大量腦力勞動的事情上,例如畫作、文字創作或哲學沉思,那麽躁動就會變得有秩序,轉為柔順和優雅。這時,我們就創作出一支屬於自己的心靈舞蹈。

令人感覺奇妙的是,當我們全情投入到自己的舞蹈中,平靜就出現了。這就是風暴中心最平靜的寫照,意味著我們全然投入就能平靜,而且效果顯著。

生命的核心價值就像主旋律,外圍的一切都應該跟隨它而舞動,這樣才能體現生命的意義。我們可以全神貫注地融入到創造當中,讓理智的寧靜與情緒的動盪形成對比,從而領悟寧靜的本質。

寧靜是自由的根源。為生命而舞動,我們為的是找到寧靜的所在。在能夠到達之前,我們必須先積累智慧的力量,然後才能響應大自然的召喚。

The path to Tranquility (98) Dancing for Life


The peace we seek is not sitting still, nor is the mind still. We sit and read a book, the surface is very calm, but the heart is still surging, this is not peace. True peace is a state of deep involvement and total concentration.

Concentrate the energy of life on creating new things that are beneficial to life itself, without wasting it in futile turmoil, this is peace. Therefore, when faced with emotional issues, we can have two opposite orientations: creating turmoil or entering calm.

When we are restless, we can find various trivial things to create busyness, such as smoking, doing some housework that is not very brain-intensive, etc., in order to soothe our emotions. However, this approach this method of creating turmoil prevents life force from fully exerted and can easily lead to depression.

If we use that restless energy on something that requires a lot of mental work, such as painting, writing, or philosophical contemplation, the restlessness becomes orderly, subdued and graceful. At that moment, we create a dance of the mind for our own.

Amazingly, when we wholeheartedly engage in our own dance, peace emerges. This is like the calm at the center of a storm, signifying that by fully immersing ourselves, we can find peace, and the effects are remarkable.

The core value of life is like the main melody, and everything on the periphery should dance following it in order to embody the meaning of life. We can wholeheartedly immerse ourselves in the act of creation, allowing the rational serenity to contrast with the emotional turbulence, thereby understanding the essence of tranquility.

Tranquility is the source of freedom. Dancing for life, we are to seek the place of tranquility. Before we can reach it, we must accumulate the power of wisdom, and only then can we respond to the call of nature.
