寧靜的心跡(129) 真正的寧靜在於動盪


世事動盪會讓人感到煩躁不安,但獲得安寧的方法不是對抗,而是接受。越是對煩躁感就越強烈,因為煩躁本身就是由緊張情緒所引起。所以對於煩躁,我們越是心情繃緊,就越會被困擾

動盪是生活的一部份,如果我們敞開方心扉去接受,就會發現其中蘊含著精彩的東西,於是我們就會產生完全不同的寧靜。不是動盪刻意來打亂我們的思緒,而是我們面對動盪時的不當態度,使自己感到心煩意亂。當我們放棄對抗,轉而接受所面臨的一切,動盪的性質就會相應改變。

此外我們也無法逃避動盪。人生總是繁忙又無常,即使我們在美麗的自然環境中隱居,也要面臨大自然的變遷,或錯失許多城市生活的體驗。真正的寧靜不是透過迴避動盪而獲得,而是在長期經歷動盪之後,它在我們內心自然而然地產生。

沒有動盪,我們的成長也會缺少重要的因素。如果沒有動盪來平衡,安寧與平靜很快就會變成無聊和寂寞。但這並不表示我們不能享受寧靜。只要不抗拒動盪,我們就已經具備進入寧靜的條件。反之,如果倚賴外在的平靜環境,那麼當環境發生變化時,我們就很難恢復寧靜。

實際上,在動盪中才有真正的寧靜。接受生命的一切,才是真正接受現狀,只有這樣我們才能獲得身心自在的寧靜。到那時,寧靜美麗的景色不僅存在於我們的眼中,而且已經印在我們的內心深處。

當我們能夠沉浸在動盪之中,就能學會冷靜地從外界的繁亂中脫離出來,專注於自己的身心。正是在這種轉變中,我們才慢慢體驗到一種獨立於環境的自由,從而獲得安寧與平靜的感受。

The path to Tranquility (129) True tranquility lies in turmoil



Turmoil in the world can make us restless, but the way to peace is not to fight but to accept. The more resist there is, the more intense the restlessness will be, because restlessness itself is caused by tension. Therefore, the more we tense up about the restlessness, the more we become bothered by it.


Turmoil is a part of life, and if we open our hearts to it, will find there are wonderful things in it, and we will have a completely different tranquility. It is not the turmoil that deliberately disrupts our thoughts, but our inappropriate attitude in the face of turmoil that makes us feel anxious. When we abandon resistance, and instead accept whatever we are facing, the nature of turmoil changes accordingly.


Furthermore, we cannot escape turmoil. Life is always busy and uncertain. Even if we live in seclusion in a beautiful natural environment, we still have to face changes in nature or miss out on many experiences of city life. True tranquility is not obtained by avoiding turmoil, but after a long period of experiencing turmoil, it naturally arises in our heart.


Without turmoil, our growth will also lack an important element. Without turmoil to balance out, peace and quiet will quickly become boredom and loneliness. But this does not mean that we cannot enjoy tranquility. As long as we do not resist turmoil, we are already equipped to enter tranquility. On the other hand, if we rely on external peaceful environments, we will find it difficult to regain tranquility when the environment changes.


In fact, it is in turmoil that there is true tranquility. Accepting everything in life is truly accepting reality, and only in this way can we gain peace of mind and body. At that point, the beautiful scenery of tranquility not only exists in our eyes, but it is imprinted deeply in our hearts.


When we can immerse ourselves in the turmoil, we can learn to calmly detach ourselves from the chaos of the outside world and focus on our own body and mind. It is in this transformation that we slowly experience the freedom of being independent of our environment and gain a sense of peace and quiet.
